Hi! I’m Bridget Lamb, founder of MAKE, a creative art studio where imagination runs wild, glue guns rule the land, and perfection takes a backseat to playful self-expression. I’m a mom to 4 kids and 3 dogs. I come from a big Irish family, and nothing makes me happier than a room full of people. Add in some paint, and maybe a dog or two under the table, and I’m set.
I've always been a maker. If I see it, I’m thinking, how can I make that… but maybe with glitter? My love for creativity started at my Aunt Lois’ dining room table, where the motto was: Don’t overthink it. She gave the instructions, then gave us freedom. That’s how we learned to create. Despite identical materials and instructions, every masterpiece was wildly different, proof that art is a lot like people: messy, layered and full of surprises.
When I was 12, my dad took me to Sears and bought me a Kenmore sewing machine. I then took years of sewing lessons at the local fabric store with the crafty women in my small town. I must have been 40 or 50 years younger than them, but they welcomed me in and taught me what creative community was all about. Since then, I’ve taken classes, hosted craft nights, taught camps, attended retreats, and basically said “yes” to every opportunity to make something with my hands. MAKE was born from that love, a dream to open a bright, joy-filled studio where people can escape the overly scheduled seriousness of life and just play.
So...drumroll, glitter cannon, and champagne pop...MAKE is here! Come take a class, throw a party, or just stop by and soak up the creativity. Whether you're a seasoned maker or haven’t touched a glue stick since 3rd grade, there’s a seat for you at our paint-splattered, joy-soaked, imperfectly perfect table. Let’s make a mess and call it magic. ✨
